The Osborn Incident
Special | 27m 34s
In 1884, the S.S. John M. Osborn, a wooden freighter, sank in Lake Superior following a collision with a steel-hulled passenger liner. A century later, divers discovered her, virtually untouched, a time capsule waiting to be opened and explored. In this WNMU-TV 1987 special, filmmaker Harve Nye and divers Tom Farnquist and Gary Shumbarger tell the story.
