In this effort, we saw a new generation of labor organizers that are not intimidated by trillion dollar companies like Amazon.
Their courage, their persistence, their commitment— it felt definitive of this moment, and we really understood that this was an opportunity to document a defining struggle of our time.
Alienation and capitalism works in this way where others will always seek to define the value of our labor, but also our value as individuals.
Watching these workers at Staten Island was a visceral reminder of how we all have the power to define for ourselves our dignity and worth, and that collective organizing does matter.
The future of democracy and the future of the workplace are intertwined.
It's really important for people to see a group of ordinary people take on an enormous fight and actually win it.
